If you're on five or more medications, or managing a chronic condition, you likely qualify for a free pharmacist-led medication review under BC PharmaCare.

What's covered

BC PharmaCare's Medication Review Services program covers:

  • MedsCheck Annual — a 30-minute one-on-one review of all your medications
  • MedsCheck Follow-Up — shorter sessions to track progress
  • Diabetes MedsCheck — specialized review for patients with diabetes

    • What happens in a review

    Your pharmacist sits down with you to go through every medication you take — prescription, over-the-counter, and supplements. They check for interactions, redundancies, and opportunities to simplify your regimen. You receive a written summary.

    Who qualifies

    You're eligible if you:

  • Take three or more prescription medications
  • Have a chronic condition such as diabetes, heart disease, or COPD
  • Are 65 or older
